Convert a PDF to a DOCX file online. How it works

Page separators add a bold 'Page N' heading before each page's text, making it easy to navigate multi-page documents. Turn them off if you want a continuous flow of text without page markers.
Privacy
PDF to DOCX runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is not uploaded to a server. The DOCX file is created locally on your device and downloaded directly. When you close the tab, all data is released from memory.
Troubleshooting
- Scanned PDFs contain only images — text extraction will produce an empty document. Use an OCR tool first.
- Password-protected PDFs must have the password removed before converting.
- Complex multi-column layouts may appear reflowed into a single column.
- Files larger than 50 MB are not accepted. Try splitting the PDF first.
- If the output is garbled, the PDF may use a non-standard font encoding.
